The Gateway Difference

First and always about the patient.

Our goal is to heal the patient as we conquer the disease. Unlike most cancer research funded by philanthropic organizations, Gateway helps move scientifically and ethically sound and promising new treatments from research discoveries to the patient’s bedside NOW!

99 cents of every dollar directly fund early phase clinical trials.

Thanks to generous underwriting by Cancer Treatment Centers of America®, 99 cents of every dollar donated directly supports one of the most underfunded areas of cancer research – Phase I and Phase II clinical trials. You can be confident your contributions will directly help courageous cancer patients worldwide.

Over 25 years of pioneering impact.

Over 25 years of pioneering impact.

Since 1991, more than $85 million in generous support has funded new, promising and advanced treatments like immunotherapy, genetic, cellular and stem cell therapies and other innovative treatments improving the standard of care and directly benefiting cancer patients. For example, Gateway funds were used in an early clinical trial for the breast cancer drug Herceptin and is supporting a breakthrough CAR T immunotherapy study at City of Hope Medical Center to treat aggressive glioblastoma brain tumors.

Your support matters.

Over 4,000 patients have directly benefited from more than 160 clinical trials funded by Gateway. Everyone touched by this devastating disease deserves a life beyond and not defined by cancer, and Gateway is illuminating the way to new treatments to achieve our vision of a world in which a cancer diagnosis is no longer feared.
