Cancer won’t wait. Over 4,950 people are diagnosed with cancer in the United States every day. By funding lifesaving clinical trials we continue to make an impact, not only on the future of cancer, but for patients living with the disease today.

Vino con Stelle, the signature fundraising event for Gateway for Cancer Research raises funds to support breakthrough cancer clinical trials and was Co-Chaired by the Vice Chairman of Gateway and Gateway’s Co-Founder and Chairman, Dr. Stacie J. and Mr. Richard J Stephenson. Thanks to generous underwriting, 99 cents of every dollar donated goes directly toward cancer research globally.

Gateway for Cancer Research celebrated Arizona Cardinals wide receiver, Larry Fitzgerald with the prestigious Leadership in Cancer Advocacy Award at the 4th annual Vino con Stelle, a signature fundraising event which raised $750,000 on Friday, April 23 at the Royal Palms Resort and Spa in Phoenix. The non-profit dedicated to funding transformational cancer research, hosted an event which featured performances by Pia Toscano, Loren Allred, Justin Guarini and William Joseph. Leading physician and oncologist, Siddhartha Mukhergee, MD, served as a guest speaker.

Since 1991, Gateway for Cancer Research (Gateway) has provided over $90 million in funding for more than 190 clinical trials at leading institutions worldwide, with 99 cents of every dollar raised benefitting cancer research. Global philanthropists Dr. Stacie J. Stephenson, Vice Chair, Gateway, and Richard J Stephenson, Gateway’s Founder and Chairman, served as hosts and honorary co-chairs for the event.

Since its inception in 1991, Gateway has provided over $90 million in funding for more than 190 Phase I and Phase II clinical trials benefiting over 9,000 cancer patients at leading institutions worldwide. Early phase trials have been shown to have the greatest impact in curing cancer yet are significantly under funded making Gateway for Cancer Research that much more impactful in the fight against cancer.
